Terms of Service (English)

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Cheir ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Cheir is a chess variant game where each player secretly selects a "Regent" piece. The Service provides:

  • Online multiplayer matches with ELO-based matchmaking
  • AI opponent matches at multiple difficulty levels
  • Global leaderboard and ranking system
  • Match history and gameplay statistics

3. Account

3.1 Account Creation

An anonymous account is created automatically when you first use the Service. You may optionally link your account to your Apple ID via Sign in with Apple for cross-device access.

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the security of your device and account
  • All activities that occur under your account

3.3 Account Deletion

You may delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the app. This action is permanent and cannot be undone.

4. User Conduct

You agree to:

  • Use the Service in compliance with all applicable laws
  • Not attempt to cheat, exploit bugs, or manipulate matchmaking or rankings
  • Not use offensive, discriminatory, or inappropriate usernames
  • Not attempt unauthorized access to other users' data or the Service's infrastructure
  • Not interfere with or disrupt the Service or other users' experience

5. In-App Purchases

5.1 Available Purchases

  • Supporter Pack: One-time purchase unlocking detailed statistics and Supporter badge
  • Tip Jar: Optional one-time donations in multiple tiers

5.2 Payment

  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase
  • All purchases are non-consumable (Supporter Pack) or consumable (Tip Jar) one-time transactions
  • No subscriptions or auto-renewal

5.3 Refunds

All purchases are processed through the Apple App Store. Apple's refund policy applies. To request a refund, please contact Apple Support.

6. Intellectual Property

  • The Service, its code, design, and original content are the property of the developer and protected by applicable laws
  • Chess piece artwork is used under license from their respective creators
  • You retain ownership of your gameplay data

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • MERCHANTABILITY
  • FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE
  • UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE DEVELOPER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

  • INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES
  • LOSS OF DATA OR GAMEPLAY PROGRESS
  • SERVICE INTERRUPTIONS OR SERVER DOWNTIME

9. Prohibited Activities

You shall not:

  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or modify the Service
  • Use automated tools or bots to play matches
  • Create multiple accounts to manipulate rankings
  • Exploit bugs or vulnerabilities (please report them instead)

10. Termination

10.1 By You

You may stop using the Service at any time and delete your account from within the app.

10.2 By Us

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, including cheating, exploiting, or abusive behavior.

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan.

13. Apple Terms

The Service is distributed through the Apple App Store. You also agree to the Apple Standard End User License Agreement.

1. 規約の同意

Cheir（以下「本サービス」）にアクセスまたは使用することにより、本利用規約（以下「本規約」）に拘束されることに同意したものとみなされます。本規約に同意しない場合は、本サービスを使用しないでください。

2. サービスの説明

Cheir は、各プレイヤーが秘密裏に「リージェント」駒を選ぶチェスバリアントゲームです。本サービスは以下を提供します：

  • ELO ベースのマッチメイキングによるオンライン対戦
  • 複数の難易度レベルでの AI 対戦
  • グローバルランキングシステム
  • 対戦履歴とゲーム統計

3. アカウント

3.1 アカウント作成

本サービスを初めて使用すると、匿名アカウントが自動的に作成されます。Apple でサインインを使用して Apple ID にリンクし、クロスデバイスアクセスを有効にすることもできます（任意）。

3.2 アカウントセキュリティ

以下の責任を負います：

  • デバイスおよびアカウントのセキュリティの維持
  • アカウントで発生するすべての活動

3.3 アカウント削除

アプリ内からいつでもアカウントと全関連データを削除できます。この操作は永久的で取り消すことはできません。

4. ユーザーの行動

以下に同意するものとします：

  • 適用されるすべての法律に準拠したサービスの使用
  • チート、バグの悪用、マッチメイキングやランキングの操作を行わないこと
  • 攻撃的、差別的、不適切なユーザー名を使用しないこと
  • 他のユーザーのデータやサービスのインフラへの不正アクセスを試みないこと
  • サービスや他のユーザーの体験を妨害しないこと

5. アプリ内課金

5.1 利用可能な購入

  • Supporter Pack: 詳細な統計と Supporter バッジを解放する買い切り型購入
  • Tip Jar: 複数のティアで開発を応援する任意の寄付（買い切り型）

5.2 支払い

  • 購入確認時に Apple ID アカウントに課金されます
  • すべての購入は非消耗型（Supporter Pack）または消耗型（Tip Jar）の一度きりの取引です
  • サブスクリプションや自動更新はありません

5.3 返金

すべての購入は Apple App Store 経由で処理されます。返金については Apple の返金ポリシーが適用されます。返金をご希望の場合は、Apple サポートにお問い合わせください。

6. 知的財産権

  • サービス、そのコード、デザイン、オリジナルコンテンツは開発者の所有物であり、適用法により保護されています
  • チェス駒のアートワークはそれぞれの制作者のライセンスの下で使用されています
  • ゲームプレイデータの所有権はお客様が保持します

7. 保証の免責

本サービスは、以下を含むがこれに限定されない、明示または黙示の保証なしに「現状のまま」提供されます：

  • 商品性
  • 特定目的への適合性
  • 中断のない、またはエラーのない動作

8. 責任の制限

法律で許容される最大限の範囲において、開発者は以下について責任を負いません：

  • 間接的、付随的、特別、または結果的損害
  • データまたはゲームプレイ進行の損失
  • サービスの中断またはサーバーのダウンタイム

9. 禁止事項

ユーザーは以下の行為を行ってはなりません：

  • サービスのリバースエンジニアリング、逆コンパイル、改変
  • 自動化ツールやボットを使用した対戦
  • ランキング操作のための複数アカウントの作成
  • バグや脆弱性の悪用（発見した場合は報告をお願いします）

10. 終了

10.1 お客様による終了

いつでもサービスの使用を停止し、アプリ内からアカウントを削除できます。

10.2 当社による終了

チート、悪用、迷惑行為など、本規約に違反するアカウントを停止または終了する場合があります。

11. 規約の変更

本規約はいつでも変更する場合があります。変更後もサービスを継続使用することで、変更された規約に同意したものとみなされます。

12. 準拠法

本規約は日本法に準拠し、日本法に従って解釈されるものとします。

13. Apple 利用規約

本サービスは Apple App Store を通じて配布されています。ユーザーは Apple 標準エンドユーザー使用許諾契約にも同意するものとします。
